After graduating, I worked as a technical designer at Abercrombie & Fitch for two years in Columbus, Ohio. I worked as part of a large, cross functional team to ensure products met design’s vision, within sourcing’s budget, met merchandising’s deadlines and met my team’s fit and quality guidelines. I was also responsible for training and mentoring new summer student interns, which helped improve my communication and leadership skills. Initially I worked on the boy’s team; working on their polos, henleys, T-shirts and button downs. Within a year, I was promoted to Associate Technical Designer, and joined the men’s team; working on their activewear, T-shirts, and fleece.
